J. L. Adams, 82, of McDonough, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. He was born in Cleveland, Ga., to the late Brodus Lee and Estelle Rosa Wheeler Adams. Mr. Adams was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Adams; children, Larry Adams, Danny Adams, Angela Edgar, and Doug Adams; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Lamar Adams; sister, Mary Louise Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Bethany Baptist Church, with the Rev. Al O'Quinn and the Rev. Chuck Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends TODAY (Tuesday, Aug. 24), from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, 4 N. Bethany Road, McDonough, Ga. 30252.
