Myer Brenner volunteered for duty in the Pacific within days after Pearl Harbor. They were in great need of engineers, and he was a self-taught engineer. He was a sergeant and a warrant officer, and served in the forerunner of the Navy Seals. He fought from island to island in the Pacific, and landed before land was taken by the allies in order to set up landing areas for armaments and men. He was also instrumental in building, and/or repairing air strips that saved lives. Myer Brenner was an engineer for Ex-Cell-O Engineering in Michigan in civilian life. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and great uncle.
