Clarence was born in Muskogee, Okla. in Indian Territory to James Alfred Titsworth Jr. and Myrtle E. Sparks Titsworth, their second child and first son.The family moved around a lot but he managed to finish school and went to work in a grocery store for a couple years and then got a job with the Tulsa Board of Education in 1933, and eventually became Roofing Foreman and stay until retirement with them. He met my mother, Artie (Ruby) Sinor, about 1929 and they were married Oct 6, 1930 in Tulsa and had 3 children; Marian, James Phillip (1936-2002) and Robert. In 1939, They bought a little 3 room house on West Archer St. in Tulsa they had been renting. He began improvements right away and they lived there until they divorced in 1947. In Sept 1947 he married Gladys Thomas in Arkansas and they were married until his death. He was a hard worker and wanted more for his family than he had as a child. He was friendly, outgoing and great Dad.
