Born June 22, 1934, in Milford Township, Juniata County, he was a son of Mary E. Alexander, Mifflintown RR1. His wife, Charlene S. (Shank) Alexander, whom he married, Dec. 19, 1965, survives.
Also surviving are sons, Jeffrey D. Alexander, Mifflintown RR1, and Nathan R. Alexander, Mifflintown, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bethany Alexander.
He was a 1952 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a plant electrician for Guardian Industries, Lewistown, retiring after 18 years of service in 1998.
He was a life member of the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post 5863 and the American Legion Post 298, both of Mifflintown. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 126 and the United Steelworkers Union.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home, 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with Donald W. Prye officiating. Interment will be in Lost Creek Presbyterian Cemetery, McAlisterville, where the Juniata County Veterans Council will fold and present the flag.
There will be no viewing.
