COLUMBIA Services for Beatrice Lowman Hill Brown,85, of Columbia, will be held at 11 am Wednesday, December 29, 2004 in St. Luke Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Leonard Carlson. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Brown died Sunday, December 26, 2004. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Jessie W and Eunice McDonald Lowman. A lifetime resident, Mrs. Brown was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and retired from Columbia Pacific Mills.
Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Kay Brown Santiago of Columbia, Elaine Hill Gossett (Roy) of Irmo; sisters, Louise Kelly, Nola Rinehart, both of Columbia, Lavinia Shull of Lexington; brothers, Morgan Lowman of Baltimore, MD, Carl Lowman of Columbia; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown was predeceased by husbands, Harold W. Hill and Kenneth R. Brown; a daughter, Cecilia Brown Scruggs, and a brother, C.W. Lowman.
