Deceased Name: Scott Bruce Anderson
Scott Bruce Anderson , beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, left this earth on February 26, 1999 in Salt Lake City.
Born March 18, 1975 in Logansport, Indiana, the oldest son of Robert K., Jr. and JoEllen Mulvay Anderson . Scott lived with his family in Indiana, Spain, California, Nebraska, and Utah, where he graduated from Taylorsville High School in 1994. Scott was a two-time high school all-American for cross-country and loved running. One of his most rewarding experiences was volunteering as a coach for Eisenhower Jr. and Taylorsville High School cross-country and track teams. Scott was an Eagle Scout. He relished being in the outdoors, particularly the mountains. With vigor and enthusiasm, he pursued hiking and rock-climbing, cycling and fishing. He took pleasure and pride in preparing gourmet meals for his family and friends. Especially important to Scott were his many friendships. At the time of his death, he was a chef at the Metropolitan Restaurant in Salt Lake City, fulfilling a lifetime goal. His bright and engaging smile will never be forgotten.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert K. Anderson , Scott is survived by his parents; seven brothers, Michael (Carla), Richard, Peter, Kyle, Nathan, Erik, and Benjamin; sister, Elizabeth; grandparents, Ruth Anderson and William and Ruth Mulvay; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins who love him and cherish his memory.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 12 noon, at Riverview Ward, 5980 South 1300 West. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment: Redwood Memorial Park.
