Daughter of Joseph and Kate (Shewmaker) Janes
Mrs. India Ann Bock 2126 Dewey Street, died Saturday at noon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Creath, RFD 3, Murphysboro, after an illness of four months. She was born near Elizabethtown, Ill. September 9, 1872, and has resided here since she was 14 years old. She was married to Jethro Bock of Murphysboro, who preceded her in death in 1918. The children who survive are Mrs. Fred (Ada) Creath, RFD. 3, Murphysboro, Mrs. O.D. (Flossie) Fisher, Detroit, Mich., Vera of Wayne, Mich., and Ray Bock of Murphysboro. Two sons preceded her in death. One sister, Mrs. Prudie Kennedy of Murphysboro, 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Bock was a member of the First Christian Church and of the Loyal Woman's Sunday School Class of that Church. Funeral Services were held this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church with Rev. A. J. Collins, pastor in charge. Burial was in Tower Grove Cemetery.
