Scot Chase, 49, a lifelong resident of Elwood, died Aug. 1, 2005 at his home, after a six-month battle with cancer.
Born March 1, 1956 in Elwood, he was the son of Homer and Elda Alleyene (Mullan) Chase.
He was a 1974 graduate of Elwood High School.
He was a layout inspector at Daimler Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo for 16 years.
He was a member of the Arcadia Church of the Brethren and United Auto Workers Union 685 in Kokomo.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Fay (Beard) Chase, whom he married Dec. 18, 1981; three daughters, Candace Marie and husband, Shaun Hanrahan of Elwood, Amanda Jo Chase of Indianapolis, and Anna Kristine Chase at home; three brothers, Lynn F and wife Joyce Chase of Colorado, Ronald L. Chase of Florida, and Bruce A. Chase of Bushnell, Ill; and a sister Bonnie K. and husband, Dave Petty of Kokomo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug 4, 2005 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Knapp of Arcadia Church of Brethren, officiating. Burial will be at the Elwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice located in Marion and Kokomo.
