Roy was the son of Allison and Pearlene Banning of Armstrong, MO. He grew up on the family farm east of Armstrong. He received a degree from the College of Business, University of Missouri at Columbia. He served as a member of the United States Coast Guard, during the Vietnam Conflict. Roy and Gloria are the parents of Adam. Roy has one older brother, Ray. Roy was fatally injured in car accident, and his wife Gloria, suffered very serious injuries. Mrs. Banning slowly recovered from those injuries with lots of love and care from her son Adam, and other family members. Roy loved fly fishing and spent time helping someone learn who was interested. His family operated a farm in the Armstrong area. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Gloria, and son Adam, and other family members. May he rest in peace.
