A daughter of William L. and Ellen R. (Davidson) Horne. Wife of Daniel Frederick Appel, aka, D. Fred Appel, and D. F. Appel.

Mrs. Mary H. Appell
Frank I. Horne of this place Tuesday morning received word of the death of his sister, Mrs. Mary Appell at her home in Boston, Mass. Interment was made in that city Wednesday afternoon services being held at 2.30.
A daughter of William L. and Ellen (Davidson) Horne, she was born in Bedford 78 years ago. After her marriage to D. Fred Appell, they resided in Boston, he being president of the New England Mutual Life Insurance Co. for many years. Her husband preceded her in death.
Two daughters survive, Mrs. Josephine Moore and Mrs. Margery Liggett of Boston.
Of a family of twelve, but four survive, a sister, Mrs. Jessie (H. R. Metzger of Bedford, who had been with Mrs. Appell this winter; Frank I Horne of this place; Clarence of Springfield, Mass., and Fred of Indianapolis, Ind.
