Lawrence Easley was born on August 5, 1939 in Soper, Oklahoma to Jim and Virginia (Johnson) Easley. He worked for Jackson County as an equipment operator for more than 20 years before retiring. He loved horses and worked at a Boys Ranch breaking horses in Rio Vista, Texas. Mr. Easley was a simple man and loved drinking coffee with the Friendship Inn crowd.
His parents and a brother, Jack, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Easley and Dean Cantrell of Altus, Oklahoma, and Patricia Rone of Altus, Oklahoma and her husband, Steven, of Texas; four grandchildren, Matthew Lee Rone, Paige Elizabeth Rone, Kaylynn Margaret Cantrell and L.D. Cantrell, all of Altus, Oklahoma; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Mantzke and husband, Bill, of Headrick, Oklahoma, and Alta Jean Easley of Altus, Oklahoma; and a nephew, Jason Mantzke of Headrick, Oklahoma.
