On Tuesday, 22 February 2011, Walter Wallace Adams, 89, passed away in Hereford, Arizona.
He was born on Friday, 23 December 1921 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin and was the son of Phillip Adams and Emma Adams.
Walter served in the United States Army with the 41st Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater for 42 months during World War II and earned a Bronze Star.
He married Joy Wild in 1951 and lived in Jamestown for more than 40 years before moving to Carson City, Nev.
Walter was a logger with Pickering Lumber Co. and Tom Martin Logging for more than 38 years.
He was a member of the Shiners and Masons, and was awarded his 50-year pin from the Masons in 2010.
Mr. Adams is survived by his children, Marian (Adams) Wall, Ken Adams, sisters, Rachel (Adams) Grunsey, Millie (Adams) Koplin, Irene (Adams) Taylor, Ethel (Adams) Sheaps, and Elise (Adams) Carlson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Adams and Emma Adams; wife, Joy C. Adams; son, Basil P. Adams; brothers, John Adams, Lewis Adams and Phillip Adams; sister, Marjorie (Adams) Booher, grandson, Clinton Wall.
