Walter Wallace Adams was the son of Phillip and Emma Adams.
He served in the U.S. Army with the 41st Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater for 42 months during World War II and earned a Bronze Star.
He married Joy Wild in 1951 and lived in Jamestown for more than 40 years before moving to Carson City, Nev.
He was a logger with Pickering Lumber Co. and Tom Martin Logging for more than 38 years.
He was a member of the Shiners and Masons, and was awarded his 50-year pin from the Masons in 2010.
Mr. Adams is survived by his children and their spouses, Marian and Curt Wall, of Hereford, Ariz., and Ken and Carol Adams, of Conrad, Mont.; grandchildren, Walt Adams, of Belt, Mont., Basil and wife Elizabeth Wall, and Ayla and Sylis Wall, all of Hereford, Ariz., Colleen and husband Saad Sidi and Kelly Wall, all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nikki and husband Sean Mick, of Pope AFB, N.C., Zachary Wall, of the USS Nicholas, Norfolk, Va., and Stephan Wall, Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan; sisters, Rachel Grunsey, of Louisville, Ky., and Millie and husband Clint Koplin, Irene Taylor, Ethel Sheaps, and Elise and husband Ron Carlson, all of Wisconsin; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Adams; son, Basil Adams; grandson, Clinton Wall; parents, Phillip and Emma Adams; brothers, John, Lewis and Phillip Adams; and sister, Marjorie Booher.
