Birth: Mar. 30, 1937, Canada
Death: Mar. 25, 2007, USA

Anderson, Brian J. Of Mequon and Fort Meyers, FL passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the age of 69 years. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on March 30, 1937 to Andre` and Violet (Deacon) Anderson who eventually settled in Milwaukee and established Andre` Furs in Whitefish Bay in 1961. Brian, an Evans Scholar, earned a degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University and quickly put that to use when he was called to service with the U S Army. Knowing that the pen truly was mightier that the sword Brian was one of the fiercest "combat" typists ever. After military service, Brian returned to Milwaukee to join his father in the family business. Brian's commitment to quality and service built Andre` Furs into the areas preeminent retail furrier. Brian retired from Andre` Furs in 2003 when his son and daughter-in-law agreed to carry on the family business. In addition to being an outstanding husband and father Brian enjoyed golfing. While perhaps best known for his etiquette, sportsmanship and touch around the greens Brian's closest friends will remember his "snappy golf attire" and uncanny infatuation with the lake at Ozaukee Country Club's 10th. Brian's other passion was God. Brian faithfully served as Deacon at his church. Brian's faith, devotion, love and sense of humor will be missed. Brian is survived by his wife Frances Joy (Troyk) Anderson, his brother Norm (Linda) Anderson of Nashville, TN, his daughter Ellen (Rocky) Cummings, his son Peter (Peg) O'Malley, his daughter Heather (John) Hurula, nine grandchildren Clara, Mic and Jack O'Malley, Willie and Emma Haeuser, Josh and Belle Hurula and MiKayla and William Cummings and countless other family members and friends who love him. He is preceded in death by his son Eric Anderson. The family will receive friends on Tues. March 27 at LUMEN CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2700 W. Mequon Rd., corner N. Range Line Rd. from 2:00 PM until the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 PM. SCHMIDT & BARTELT Funeral and Cremation Service Mequon 262-241-8085
