George Howe Breaker was born on August 26, 1851, in New Bern, North Carolina to Jacob Manly Cantey and Emma Juliette Juhan Breaker. He was second of ten children born and his siblings were Manly Juhan, Emma Henrietta, Henry Cantey, Eliza Prince, Etta Hornby, Anna Bourdeaux, Victoria Claudia, Emily Juhan and Lewis Frederick Breaker. George's father was a minister of a Baptist Church.
By 1880, George was an Attorney and also represented his brother, Henry, in his Abstract Office. In 1880, at the age of 29, George married Lillian Louise Trapp in Houston, Texas. Together, George and Lillian had three children and they were Ruby, Roland Trapp and Frank J. Breaker. In 1921, George had to bury his wife of forty-one years. He himself passed away on December 16, 1934 in Houston, Texas.
