Charlie L. Archie Dies After Illness In Greensboro
GREENSBORO (Spl) - Charlie L. Archie, 78, died at his home in Greensboro Sunday morning following an illness of ten months. (His birth year has been approximated.)
A native of Rush County, IN. Mr. Archie was a farmer and had lived in the Greensboro community for 24 years. He was a member of the Friends Church.
Survivors are the wife, Ella Archie; two daughters: Mrs. Maude Wood of Indianapolis & Mrs. Lois Frazier of Knightstown; one son, Oakley Archie of Marion; four sisters: Mrs. Elise Newsome & Mrs. Della Ealy both of Knightstown, Mrs. Clara Hampton of New Castle and Mrs. Laura Jones of Marion; one brother, William Archie of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the Clear Spring Friends Church, northeast of Greensboro. Rev. James Ford, pastor of the Greensboro Church of the Nazarene, assisted by Rev. R. H. Peoples, pastor of the Second Christian Church of Indianapolis, will officiate and burial will be in the Clear Spring Friends Cemetery.
Friends may call at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lois Frazier, 126 N. Franklin St., Knightstown until noon Tuesday.
