Robert Branch Johnson was a Colorado County, Texas rancher and stockman. He drove cattle up the trail and was in Abilene, Kansas completing a cattle drive to the rail head when he died. His good and faithful ex-slave and at the time, employee, George Glenn (1850-1931), returned Robert Johnson's earthly remains to Roberts home in Columbus, Colorado County, Texas where he could be buried beside family and friends in City Cemetery in Columbus.
