Rebecca Elvira "Becky" Centers was born the eldest of ten children to James Wesley Centers and Sarah Martha Forbes.

On 29 Oct 1891, she married Charles Berton "Bert" Anderson. Together they had nine children: Percy LeRoy "Roy"; Roxie Dale; James Lemuel "Lem"; Naomi Irene; Nigle Berton; twins: Floyd "Pete" E. and Cloyd "Bill"; Flossie Erma; and Neva Gwendolyn.
