Grace was a NH school teacher who married Elbert Pease of Hampden County, MA the day before Christmas 1907. In 1909 they lived in Monson, MA and she was very happy. She wrote this postcard to her friend in NH, urging her to come for a visit, signed "Lovingly G. A. P". By 1920, Grace is a patient at Grafton State Hospital for "chronic insane patients", where her job is to "swab dining room". She died there in 1936. Likely, her family took her back to NH for burial. I found this postcard in an antique shop and wanted to create a memorial for Grace, who apparently had no children. My research shows she was born in Fitzwilliam, NH the daughter of Francis Clark and Susan Fischer, sister of Martin.
