G. J. Cameron Taken By Death: Gerald J. Cameron, 61, of route 1, Custer, died Friday afternoon shortly after having been admitted to Paulina Stearns Hospital. Mr. Cameron, a prominient dairy farmer and horseman, was born July 2, 1902, and had resided in Mason County his entire life.
He was a member of the board and former president of both Mason County Eastern School board of education and Ludington Local, Michigan Milk Producers' Association. He had recently resigned as a member of the board of Muskegon Local, Michigan Milk Producers' Association. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Custer.
Mr. Cameron was married in 1932 to Ida Swanson who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jerry Cameron of route 1 Custer; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Sue Ann) Watters of Mount Pleasant; four sisters, Mrs. Walter (Cassie) Gerbers, Mrs. Archie (Mildred) Conrad and Mrs. Ed (Claribel) Bucholtz of Mason County and Mrs. Joseph (Lillian) McGuire of Rosebush; three brothers, Stuart of Jackson, Robert of Muskegon and Cardinal of Ludington; seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cameron was preceded in death by a son and a sister. The body is at Stephen's Funeral Home. Requiem Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from St. Mary's Church in Custer.
