Marvin Lee Adams, 83, of Mokane, died Friday, October 20, 2000 at Riverview Nursing Home in Mokane.
He was born July 7, 1917, in Callaway County to the late Oscar and Myrtle (Craighead) Adams.
He had been cared for by his granddaughter, Marla Wetherell of Auxvasse for several years.
Suvivors include, five children, Carolyn Bezler, Mary Lou Stiers, Janet Wolfmeier and Terry Adams all of Fulton and Freda Johnson of Hatton, four brothers, Richard Adams of Fulton, Robert Adams of Illinois, Kenneth Adams of Jefferson City and Odie Adams of Kansas City, a sister, Lucille Hawkins of Mexico, seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, a brother, a son and a grandson.
He worked as a painter, as well as running Grandpa's Bait Shop. He is remembered as having a strong heart for strangers in need.
Services are at 1PM Monday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.
In liew of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Martin Lee Adam's Memorial Fund.
