Charles Clark was buried at the Baker Cemetery Monday, Rev. Ginn held a song and prayer services at his mother's home.

Hamilton Advocate, Hamilton, Missouri October 29, 1908
Sam and Charles Clark went to Excelsior Springs Saturday morning and got drunk. Charles did not have enough money to pay his car fare more than half the way home and was put off the train this side of Elmira, near the high
tressle. He got on the track to walk home and was knocked down and run over by the fast train cutting off two fingers and crushing both legs. It is supposed the cow-cather of the engine tore off the top of his head for his brains were scattered over the tressle, he was found by some children the next day. The body was brought home to his mother, Mrs. Wm. Roup for burial. He was hurt once before by the train.
