He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Whitaker Adams Lee, and children, Julia Ann Adams and Cheryl Ann Adams Womack. He is survived by his daughters Marie M. Forbes (John R.) of Jax, FL., Sharon L. Phillips, Cecile J. Childers of Fernandina Bch, FL., 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Adams served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Occidental Chemical as purchasing agent.
He will be laid to rest in Gravely Hill Cemetery, located within Riverside Memorial Park. Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, THE OAKLAWN CHAPEL, 4801 San Jose Blvd is serving the family.
