When she settled down in New York City, she tried to start a singing career. Appeared in several movies, singing Russia folk songs. She was well known for her high pitched soprano voice.
She openned up a Voice Studio, to help Broadway actors improve their singing capabilities.
She recorded one record album, singing Russian Romances, gypsy and folk songs in Russian.
Vera was married twice: 1- Roy Raymond (1948 - 13 December 1967) (till her death). Had 1 child, Irina. 2- Valentin Pavlovsky (? - ?) (divorced)
Vera died to breast cancer in New York City. She had a Russian Orthodox Funeral.
Vera's and Yul Brynner's mother Maria (Marusia) Blagovidova, is also buried next to Vera's grave. Irina (Veras only child) is also buried alongside with Vera.
