OWELL -- Anna M. (Wynn) Archibald, a resident of Lowell's Highlands section who was active in church organizations in the city, died unexpectedly March 30, 2002 at Lowell General Hospital.
She was born in Keene, N.H., a daughter of the late James J. and Nora M. (Ryan) Wynn.
As a young child, she moved with her family to Lowell, and attended St. Peter's School, Lowell High School, and the former Lowell Normal School, which is now part of the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and here she was awarded her bachelor's degree in education.
She worked for the Lowell Registry of Motor Vehicles as the head teller, retiring after 30 years of service.
Mrs. Archibald was a communicant of both St. Patrick's and St. Margaret's parishes in Lowell and was a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality, the 1000 Club, and the Poor Clare Guild.
She is survived by five children; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late, Rt. Rev. Walter Wynn CP, John, William, James, Thomas, and Nora Wynn.
