Van Alstyne - Services for J.L. Anderson Jr., 68-year-old Van Alstyne farmer and rancher will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Flesher Funeral Chapel in Van Alstyne.He died Monday at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
The Rev. Jimmy Tarrant and the Rev. Mike Miller will officiate with burial in Van Alstyne Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson was born in Van Alstyne, the son of John L. Anderson and Myrtle Blackeby Anderson.He married Geraldine Lane Oct. 19, 1947 in Dallas.
He was a World War II Army veteran and operated a Texaco service station in Van Alstyne for many years.
He was a member of the cannon Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Brenda Anderson and Pamela Boddie, both of Van Alstyne, Linda Wilkins of Austin and Teresa Hartsfield of Anna; sisters, Dollin Anderson of Van Alstyne and Alma Hart of Rochester, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.
