NOT PROVEN: We are now researching if Johannes ALTHAUS and his son with Anna Katharina MARBURGER Hiester Althaus, Johannes Christian ALTHAUS (born 1718-1720) emigrated to America (Note: women were not listed on ship manifests at this time; it is conceivable that the whole family traveled together). Arriving in America on October 27, 1738 with the ship 'St. Andrew' were listed Johan George Aldhaus, also given as Johan Holdhause, Johannes Althaus, and Johan Krist Althause (also spelled Altous). We are collaborating with German historians and genealogists who are concurrently researching this.
