OBITUARY: Wheaton Journal, Feb. 25, 1933 - FORMER WHEATON RESIDENT PASSES AWAY - John T. Allman, formerly of Wheaton, was born in Missouri Oct. 7, 1869 and departed this life Feb. 20, 1933, at the home of his brother, Will Allman, ten miles southeast of Niangua, Mo, age, 63 years, 4 months and 15 days. He was united in marriage to Nora Elva Utter March 13, 1898. To this union eight children were born. His wife and two children, William Harold and Alvina May, preceded him in death. He was converted early in life and joined the Christian Church of Rocky Comfort which he was a member at the time of his death. He is survived by six children, Mary Louisa, Manville Clayton, Loren Hugh, Ferman Leroy, Lila Jane and Rose Elaine; three brothers, William J. of Niangua Mo., Elmer R.; Sam, of Hominy Okla.; two sisters, Dora Ruppert of Goodman and Addie Allman of Goodman. Two brothers Jerry and George, have preceded him in death. He was a loving father, always kind and devoted to his family. Funeral services were conducted at the Wheaton Baptist Church Feb. 22, 1933 by Rev. E C. Tichenor and burial made in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery under the direction of Pogue Undertaking Company.
