F.E. Degener Dies At Age 48
Funeral services for Frederick E. Degener, 48. well-known resident of Jamesport, were conducted in Reginald H. Tuthill's funeral parlor in Riverhead, Wednesday, at 7:30 p.m., by the Rev. Charles W. MacLean, rector of Grace Episcopal Church, Riverhead.
Another service will be held in a funeral parlor at Manhattan on Thursday (today) at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Mr. Knuckle, of Manhattan, officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Ridgewood. Mr. Degener had been in failing health for some time. He was a member of the Suffolk County Democratic Committee, having been one of the representatives from the eighth election district of Riverhead Town.
Surviving are his wife, Anna, his mother, Anna and his son, Walter.

Fred E. Degener, a well known resident of this place, died at his home on Tuesday morning, after a long illness. Our sympathy is extended to Mrs. Degener and her son, Walter, in their sorrow.
