LaCrosse -- Rudolph "Whitey" Herrman, 67, died April 29, 1992 at the Hadley Medical Center, Hays. He was born Feb. 27, 1925 at Liebenthal, the son of Stephen and Anna Kreutzer Herrman.

A lifetime Rush County resident, he was a farmer, owner of the W-H Trailer Court and was the owner of the Private Club and Bowling Alley, all at LaCrosse, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the VFW Post No. 3147, both at LaCrosse. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

On Feb. 2, 1955 he married Hazel Renner at Santa Rosa, N.M. She survives.

Other survivors include three brothers, Reinhold S. and Harold J., both of LaCrosse, and Stephen Jr., Hayward, Calif.; and eights sisters, Esther Schafer, LaCrosse, Helen Rupp, Plainville, Mary Edna Munsch, Cheyenne Wells, Colo., Ruby Herrman and Leona Klein, both of Ellinwood, Betty Martell and Anita Ruder, both of Hays, and Frances Holopirek, Timken.

Wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, LaCrosse, with Father Eugene Kenny presideing. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today and Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the LaCrosse City Cemetery with military honors by Fort Hays VFW.

Memorials may be sent to the Hays Dialysis Center or to the Diabetes Association, both in care of the funeral home.
