He was a 50-year member of La Marque Masonic Lodge No. 1325 AF&AM, and was a member of the First Christian Church of La Marque. -- Survivors include his wife Ruth Brown of Dickinson; daughters, Lynda Atkinson of Kansas City, Kan. and Kay Jarrell of Longview; and five grandchildren."
