|Birth: ||Apr. 19, 1909|
|Death: ||Mar. 19, 2007|
Daughter of George and Olive Love Hill.
A longtime member of the Greens Fork Church of the Nazarene, (more than 60 years). She was a prayer warrior of the church. Often remembered for her wonderful testimony of Christian faith; many times she would get blessed by the Holy Spirit during worship services and start shouting and crying. She taught the nursery/kindergarten Sunday School class for many years, having taught three generations of one family. Although confined to a nursing home the last few years of her life, she was still a member of the Greens Fork Church of the Nazarene when it closed in the Fall of 2001. Her church membership was then transferred to the Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene where it remained until her death.
She often attended local revivals and camp meetings. She would also attend the district assembly & camp meetings of the Indianapolis District of the Church of the Nazarene in Camby, IN. Unable to drive she would be taken to these events by her dearest church friends, Floyd & Mattie Sutherland. She was a personal friend to several Church of the Nazarene missionaries, including Mary Lou Riggle, of Economy, and Mary Scott, both of whom she kept in contact on a regular basis. These missionaries would stay in her home when in the U.S. on furlough.
Known as "Auntie Violet" by the younger generations of the church.
Violet was a good cook and enjoyed entertaining guests in her home.

Note: The obituary states Violet was a member of the Greens Fork Church of the Nazarene. This is incorrect as the Greens Fork Church closed in the fall of 2001. When the 5 remaining members voted to close the church, Violet was already in the nursing home. Her membership was transferred to the Hagerstown Church of the Nazarene by action of the church district.

Rest in eternal peace until that last day when the trumpet shall sound and the dead in Christ will arise to meet Him in the air. Thank you for teaching me about the love of Jesus and how to follow Him.|
