Thought to be the Jacob, son of Martin Housel whose 1796 log cabin is mentioned in the book "Annuls of the Buffalo Valley"
NOTE: That although it is certain that Jacob had two wives named Mary, it is obvious that these two women by the dates witnessed on the stone by the volunteer were not the mother of William, Jacob or John. It is my contention (supported by information from another cousin descended from this line), that if it is true that Mary wife of Jacob born in 1789 was actually born in 1789, then Jacob must have fathered children with another woman prior to Mary of 1789.
