Company E was known as Farmers Guards
He enlisted on September 17, 1861 and mustered out on September 4, 1865. He fought in the Battle at Vicksburg.
His residence was in Mineral Point, WI. He lived there with his wife Kate.
There was one son that I know of now by the name of Gilbert. He was their only son. There may be other children but I haven't found that info yet.
He died in Mineral Point and was buried there in Graceland Cemetery.
