Mrs. Grace Gray Ashby of Fayetteville died Friday evening in the Lincoln Conty Nursing Home following a long illness. She was 79 years old and the widow of Noland Ashby, who died in 1945.
Services were Sunday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Thomas officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Ashby was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Joe and Lorena Porter Groce, and was a member of the Christian Church at Rowland Hill.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Peggy) Lewter of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Flavil Hopkins and Mrs. Alene Quick, both of Flintville; a brother, Robert Gray of Fayetteville; and two grandchildren.
