Howard was the son of Ralph James Henry and Alice May (Sturges) Henry.

He was married to Rosalie 'Rose Anne' Marzec in Chicago on 23 Aug 1947. After their divorce he moved to California and married Evelyn (Mudd) Fritsch on 8 Sep 1967 in Contra Costa County, California. Evelyn passed away in 1988 and Howard was married a third time to Almeda (Setzer) Howdeshell on 15 Nov 1989 at the Stateline in Douglas County, Nevada.
Howard was the son of Ralph James Henry and Alice May (Sturges) Henry.
