Henry "Hank" A. Kowalewski, 87, of 541 Main Street, Cromwell, husband of the late Czeslawa "Tessie" (Kula) Kowalewski, died May 25th at his home.
Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Indelak) Kowalewski and had lived in Cromwell most of his life. Hank and Tessie ran Frank's Amoco Service Station on Main St. in Cromwell for over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was a member of St. John Church in Cromwell and a member of the Edgewood Country Club and now the TPC in Cromwell. He was an avid golfer, avid Boston Red Sox fan, and UConn Basketball fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Kozaka and her husband Ted of Cromwell; one grandson, Matthew Kozaka; and one step-grandson, Jeffrey Kozaka.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Stanley Kowalewski and Frank Knoll.
Funeral services will be held at St. John Church, Cromwell on Wednesday, May 30th, at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Britain.
Friends may call at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main St., Cromwell on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
