OBITUARY OF HENRIETTA ARNOLD

Henrietta Arnold, daughter of James and Ladora Vanlandingham was born January 22, 1879 in Davis County, Iowa where she spent her entire life, and passed away August 1st, 1956 at Moulton, Iowa at the home of her daughter after a long illness at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 10 days. She was reared in Davis County and educated in its schools. She attended the Washington Christian Church in her early years.On March 7th, 1901 she was married to Samuel Arnold. Four children were born to this union; three boys and one girl: Mr. Herbert Arnold of Bloomfield, Mrs. Gladys Archer of Moulton, and Mr. Ray Arnold of Bloomfield. One son Earl preceded her in death at the age of three. Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by both parents, her son Earl, brothers, Cobert, Ebert, and Nathan Vanlandingham; sisters, Addie Vanlandingham, Nellie Fenton.She leaves to revere her memory her sons, Herbert and Ray; her daughter Gladys; her brothers, Jessie, Clarence, and Charley Vanlandingham and sister Setta Fenton; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.Mrs. Arnold was a kind and loving mother interested in each member of her family. In the closing moments of her life her strength permitted her to inquire about each of her children.The funeral services were held from the Eagle Funeral Home, Friday, August 3 at 2:30 p. m. The services were conducted by Rev. Quentin E. Johnson. Interment was made at the Johnson Cemetery.
