He registrered for WWI, while living in Kenosha. He signed up Sept 1918, living at 423 Strong St. Wife's name: Peppina (living in Italy) Birth date: 10 Aug 1881 in Italy, he was an 'alien', working at the American Brass Company. He signed with his mark.

Obituary as it appears in the 'Kenosha Evening News' Jan 27, 1919, pg 5: "Filberto Aiello, well known among the Italian residents of Kenosha, died Saturday morning at the Kenosha Isolation Hospital from pneumonia following an attack of influenza. He had been seriously ill for several days and little hope had been held for his recovery.
The deceased was 37 years old and was born in Italy. Only a few years ago he came to Kenosha where he has been employed at the American Brass Company. He is survived by a widow and five children in Italy and by one brother, Antony Aiello, of Kenosha.
The funeral services were held this morning at the Holy Rosary church after which interment was made in the St. George cemetery."
