The funeral for Donald James Anderson of Oregon City, a retired machinist, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Hustad Funeral Home. Private interment will be at Skyline Memorial Gardens.
He died of causes related to age Thursday in an Oregon City care center. Mr. Anderson was 77.
Born May 12, 1914, in Woolsey, S.D., he had lived in the Portland area since the early 1940s. Mr. Anderson had worked for Convoy Co. for about 12 years until his retirement in 1981. He previously had worked for Timber Structures for a number of years.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Lu Knapp of Canby; son, John of Kenton, Ohio; sister, Inez Thue of Worthington, Minn.; and six grandchildren.
