Mary was the last child born in the Adams home on April 1, 1878 and unfortunately passed away at the age of nine months and one day on January 2, 1879.
Mary had three brothers and a sister: Josh, Jenks, Lewis, and Maggie that all grew to adulthood and had families. Mary Jane's sister Maggie passed in 1891 and a few years after that the remaining family left their homestead in Pickens County and moved to Fort Bend County, Texas.
Mary Jane is buried in a single plot in the old section of Big Creek Cemetery, west of Carrollton, Alabama.
