Cernie E. Driggers, Sr. husband of Jurene Maggie Driggers went to be the Lord on Wednesday evening September 28, 2005. Mr. Driggers was born in Berkeley County on February 18, 1924, the son on the late Charlie and Nattie Burbage Driggers. He attended Pineridge School. Mr. Driggers was member of Big Bay Hunting Club and Jenkins Hunting club. He was formerly employed with United Piece Dye and retired from South Carolina School transportation system. He was also a member and a deacon of Salem Baptist Church. Surviving including his wife are a son Cernie Bud Driggers Jr.and his wife Diane of Summerville. Two daughters, Bernadine, Bunny Driggers and Rose Polly Harmon both of Summerville. One sister Nattie Lee Owens and her husband David of Summerville. Seven grandchildren, Karen Driggers, Tammy Harmon, Michael Harmon and his wife Angela, Nancy Driggers, Alana Harrawood and her husband James, Jessica Driggers and LCPL Megan Driggers all of Summerville; three great-great children Samantha Chubb, Evelyn Poncho Driggers and Anthony Buckshot Hardwood; one special foster grandchild Nicole Kavacek. many nieces, nephew and his beloved pet dog "sissy"
