Mr. Hendrix had lived in Alton, Illinois for several years and returned to Puxico in 1967. He owned and operated Neal's Garage and was a transmission specialist.
He was an avid fan of all car racing. On July 12, 1962, he was married to Helen Allsman in Alton, Illinois.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Hendrix of Puxico, Missouri; three sons, Lloyd Ray (Chris) Hendrix of Bethalto, Illinois, Tom (Ginger) Hendrix of Puxico, Missouri, Bill Hendrix of Columbia, Missouri; one daughter, Wanda Marie Rain of Bethalto, Illinois; three grandchildren, Erin, Shelby and Tyler; four brothers, Richard Hendrix and Charles (Nadine) Hendrix both of Puxico, Missouri, Donald (Betty) Hendrix of Huntington, Tennessee, Allen (Norma) Hendrix of Ida, Arkansas; and one sister, June (Harold) Waggoner of Alton, Illinois. Other friends and relatives also survive.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Glendon Hendrix.
Friends may call after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 18, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico, Missouri with the Rev. Ray Placher of Puxico, Missouri officiating and the Rev. Johnny Buttry of Puxico, assisting.
Interment will be in the Brown General Baptist Church Cemetery near Puxico, Missouri with Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
