Grace M. Bealer, 90, a resident of Frederick Living for the last 11 years, passed away at Lehigh Valley Hospital on August 2, 2013. Formerly of North Coventry Twp., she was the wife of the late Earl A. Bealer, who passed away in 2002. Born August 11, 1922 in Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late Ellsworth Yarnell and Ethel Shuey Yarnell, and grew up in Frackville. Gracie was employed for almost 25 years with J. C. Penney Co. of Pottstown. She was an active member of Coventry Church of the Brethren. While at Frederick, she was an enthusiastic contributor to their Red Hat Society. Surviving is a daughter, Ruth Ann Maxwell and her husband, Robert P., of Blooming Glen; two brothers, Paul Yarnell and his wife, Phyllis, of Harrisburg, and Ronald Yarnell of Honey Grove; two granddaughters, Shelley Book and Carrie Cochran; and three great grandchildren, Joel Book, Hannah Grace Book and Guilliam Cochran. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Harold and Myron Yarnell, Jennie Miller and Gertie Horan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 9, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 225 E. Schuylkill Rd., Pottstown. Family will receive friends on Friday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Frederick Living, 2849 Big Rd., Frederick, with a celebration of life service beginning at 11:30 a.m. For those desiring, contributions may be made in her memory to the Frederick Living Resident Care Benevolent Fund.
