George Washington Dyer was the grandson of Lt George Dyer & Rachel Dalton, and the son of James Dyer & Sarah Ann Fortune. Descendants of Lt George Dyer who fought in the Continental Line of the American Revolution are eligible for membership in Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution. Descendants of Sarah Ann Fortune Dyer are eligible for membership in The National Society of the Washington Family Descendants. George Washington Dyer was the 2nd cousin 6 times removed to First President George Washington.
