Mrs. Marshall Ashley, 93, died at the Shady Acres Nursing Home in Douglas.
Mr. Ashley was born to Simon and Pennie Ashley. He attended public schools in Coffee County. He was the widower of Minnie Ashley. Two children, Theodore Williams and Annie Johnson preceded him in death.
Survivors include: daughters: Floris Ross of Fitzgerald; Mary Alice Hamler of Indianapolis, Ind.; Doretha Williams and Minnie Elizabeth Collier, both of Miami, FL; and Arie Dunlap of Tampa, FL; sister, Ella Williams of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; brothers, Eddie Ashley of Almond, FL; and Silas Ashley of Moultrie; 42 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren; and 27 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at St. John Baptist Church. Interment was in St. James Cemetery.
Henderson Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
