Johanna came to America with her parents Ol O. Johnson and Maria Gulbrandsdatter in the year of 1867 to Steele Co, MN. The family would move from Steele Co., MN to Lien Twp., Barrett, Grant Co., MN in 1878 by wagon. She would marry Andrew E. Anderson in 1882. They then lived in Crow Wing Co., MN and then in the towns of Bemidji and Blackduck in Beltrami Co., MN. Johanna and Andrew would have four children, Carl, Edwin, Olga and Selma. She is buried in an unmarked grave beside the grave of her daughter Selma and Selma's husband George W. Bridgeman.
