Louise Templeton Fitch, 89, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. She was born on May 21, 1919 in Davidson to the late Connie Johnston and Bruce Shepherd Templeton. Louise attended North Carolina Women's College (UNC-Greensboro), worked in the banking industry after moving to Florida and retired from Florida Federal Savings & Loan in 1984. She was an Eve Award Winner in 1978. Louise was a lifelong Presbyterian and a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church for 50 years, serving as a Deacon, Elder, on the Board of Directors of Riverside Presbyterian House & Apartments, and was awarded a Life Membership in the Women of the Church. Louise's life was enriched by her family, friends and her church. She had a wonderful giving spirit and was deeply loved by all whose lives she touched. Louise worked as a volunteer at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, and Riverside Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Jacksonville Symphony Women's Guild and The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary.
