Dick Cohoon is survived by his wife, Muriel Frances Spates Cohoon of Monument Beach. In addition to his wife he leaves two sons Richard Joseph Cohoon, II, (Cassy) of Hadley; John Andrew "Jack" Cohoon (Michele) of Bristol, Rhode Island; and three daughters Patti-Ann Tanis (John) of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Kathleen M. Carr of Falmouth; and Mary Beth Seymour (Edward) of Sunderland; a brother, Bruce Andrew Cohoon (Jane) of Plymouth and a sister, Arlene J. Ruddy (Gordon)of Windsor, Connecticut; seven grandchildren, Jon-Patrick Tanis of Florida; Ashley Frances Carr, Ryan Paul Carr and Sean Carr of Falmouth; Emma Jane Seymour and Jenna Lyn Seymour of Sunderland; Richard Joseph "Joey" Cohoon, III, of Hadley and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Judith Brennan (Bill)of Charlestown.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Monday, July 24, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the Base Chapel on the Massachusetts Military Reservation (Otis AFB) in Bourne, followed by burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Shriner's Hospital, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02114.
