She was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Gorden on June 11, 1913 and to this union nine children were born. Surviving are Dorothy Blake, Mesa, Arizona; Chester D. Gorden, Lamoni, Iowa; Freda Randol, Osceola, Iowa; Lila Belle Carlile, Cameron, Missouri, and Danny Joe Gorden, Independence Missouri.
Preceding her in death was her husband; her sons: Earl, Paul, Kenneth and Keith.
Other survivors include 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lora Waller, St. Paul, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Goldie was baptized a member of the Methodist Church at the age of 14 years and remained a faithful member.
She is buried in the IOOF Davis City Cemetery, Davis City, Iowa.
