Samuel Dean Alexander, 42, of Fourth Street Extension, Belpre, Ohio, died Friday, due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, a son of Peggy Alexander of Belpre and the late O. Dean Alexander. He worked for Raytheon Construction Company at the Shell Chemical Plant as an ironworker.
Alexander was a 1972 graduate of Belpre High School and was a member of the Iron Workers Local 787. He attended Bible Missionary Church in Marietta.
Surviving are two sons, Samuel Dean Alexander II and Joshua David Alexander, both of Belpre; two daughters, Tiffany Alexander of Washington and Michelle Dick of Belpre; one brother, Michael Alexander of Parkersburg; two sisters, Teresa Wallace of Little Hocking and Gail Lanham of Belpre; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, T. Darlean Alexander.
Services 1 p.m. Tuesday, Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, the Rev. Earl Lilly officiating. Burial Rockland Cemetery.
